About Us

Since moving here in 1979, Billy Tashman has toiled as a junior high school teacher, cab-driver (10 years), photo-retoucher (before Photoshop killed the profession), cook, journalist (Village Voice, NY Times, many other publications), street vendor (2 days), college professor, and hotel operator. He has made sure that each Sofia Tour treats you like an honored guest, not a faceless tourist. You and your friends and family (up to 7 guests) will be guided on the route of your choice by a friendly driver who knows more about the city than, well, just about anyone. And don’t hesitate to ask him questions, to stop for photos, or to buy a snack. Not that you’ll get hungry…our cars are stocked with drinks and munchies to make your trip ultra-comfortable.

It’s a big city, but we know it well.
